. Patching systems provide the maximum flexibility needed
to re-route signals and are used in "shielded cable",
video, and RF application. These jacks may be intermixed
on the same panel provided the mechanical limitations are
recognized.

1.6/5.6
Coaxial Connector 75ohm
The 1.6/5.6 series of connectors offers three different plug types:
-Snap-on/snap-off coupling allowing rapid but secure connections
-Screw coupling for vibration environments
-Slide-in coupling which is suitable for rack and panel systems
The jack for all types is the same, and will mate with all three plug types.

The maximum frequency for this series is limited to 1GHz .The impedance is controlled at 75ohms for all types, Versions of this series connector are available for mounting to printed circuit boards using thru-hole soldered techniques. Clamp and crimp techniques are used to terminate this series to cables 1.6/5.6 connectors find applications in many types of communication equipment.

N
Coaxial Connector 50 ohm

The N series a very popular coax connector. It is a medium sized precision weatherproof connector supplied with a screw coupling. In some applications this connector can be used up to 11GHz.Only 50 ohm impedances are available. Connector styles are available for flexible, conformable, semi-rigid and corrugated cable types. Both crimp and clamp cable termination processes are used for this series. Special design techniques for this series of connectors have resulted in excellent levels of performance for return loss (VSWR) and inter-modulation distortion (IMP). Applications for these connectors vary from signal patches communication transmission where vibration resistance and environmental protection is required. N’s are a medium-power high-frequency solution for coax connections.

TNC
Coaxial Connector 50 or 75ohm

The TNC series a commonly used coax connector. Similar to the BNC, but supplied with a screw coupling, this connector can be used up to 11GHz.Both50 and 75ohm impedances are available. Connector styles are available for flexible, conformable and semi-rigid cable types. Versions of the TNC connector are available for mounting to printed circuit boards using both thru-hole press-fit techniques. Both crimp and clamp cable termination processes are used for this series. Applications for these connectors vary from signal patches to video transmission where vibration resistance is required TNC’s are a low-cost high-frequency solution for coax connectors.

SMB/SMC/SMS
Coaxial Connector 50ohm /75 ohm

This collection of connectors are all the same type but with different coupling techniques:

-SMB has a snap-on/snap-off coupling allowing rapid but secure connections and is usable up to 4GHz
-SMB has a screw coupling for vibration environments and is usable up to 10 GHz
-SMS has a slide coupling, which is suitable for rack and panel systems and is usable up to 4 GHz

The impedance is controlled at 50 ohms for all types. Connector styles are available for flexible conformable and semi-rigid cables. Versions of this series connector are available for mounting to printed circuit boards using both thru-hole soldered and thru-hole press-fit techniques, as well as surface mount technology (SMD).Solder and crimp techniques are used to terminate this series to cables. SMB/SMC/SMS connectors find applications in all types of electronic equipment.
